Allegedly destroying each other, these vessels have rested undisturbed on the ocean floor, with the submarine holding the remains of 28 crew members.

The film emerges from rigorous research and thorough investigation, tracing a path of clues through the UK, France (including the French Military Archives in Paris), Germany (featuring the Hamburg International Maritime Museum), Belgium, and the Channel Islands. It showcases remarkable underwater footage of divers operating in challenging conditions over 75 metres deep.

Highlighting groundbreaking maritime archaeological efforts, the documentary benefits from the expertise of world-renowned U-Boat archaeologist Tomas Termote. It vividly portrays the dedication, passion, and perseverance of Taylor's intrepid team, alongside the palpable tension of their daring venture.

Narrated by David Harewood OBE, "The Hunt" employs cinema-quality CGI to recreate the fateful battle and uses detailed digital maps to illustrate the search areas and significant locations.
